Find answers to common questions about our civic advocacy, welfare funding, and how to get involved with the Birnin Kudu community.
Muryar Birnin Kudu (Voice of Birnin Kudu) is a registered community-focused, grassroots nonprofit organisation in Jigawa State. We serve as a civic platform for local residents to lobby for social amenities, coordinate welfare distribution, hold local councils accountable, and sponsor educational grants.
We are funded primarily through voluntary contributions from residents, local business partners, philanthropic community elders, and international partners. 100% of our public donations go directly into executing community programmes — scholarships, water boreholes, youth seminars — as our administrators operate on a volunteer basis.
Scholarships are targeted at orphans, students from low-income households, and children of disabled residents attending public primary and secondary schools in Birnin Kudu LGA, Jigawa State. The selection process is vetted by a committee of local headteachers and community elders to ensure fairness and integrity.
You can safely write to our executive team using our public Contact Form. All submissions are automatically stored in our admin dashboard. We review messages weekly and, where necessary, draft petitions or organise community delegations to hold local councillors accountable.
